Jo is the owner of the practice and a qualified Optometrist. She registered in 1985 after training in Cardiff and has worked for various large companies, including managing a branch for a large multiple. The past 20 years have been spent working and living in and around the Malmesbury area and she is proud to be providing a service to local people and visitors to the High Street. Currently, Jo is serving on Wiltshire's Local Optical Committee and is a member of the British Contact Lens Association.

 

 

 

 

Lydia

Dispensing Optician

Lydia is a qualified Dispensing Optician and has previously worked in multiples and independent practices. She has now been with the practice for over two years and enjoys working in the team. She is very particular in her work and strives to ensure the highest of standards for all our patients. She has a real artistic flair and fashion sense, combined with good communication skills and goes to great lengths to ensure the right frame will be chosen for you.

David Canton

Dispensing Optician

David has been in optics for 20 years. His roles have covered manufacturing, sales, account management and he has also set up his own practice which he and Lydia now jointly manage. He is a qualified Dispensing Optician and has particular strengths in resolving varifocal issues and designing bespoke rimless spectacles for our more discerning patients.
 

Julie

Optical Assistant

Julie joined the team in 2010 and has become a real asset to the practice. She comes from a background of care work but also has experience of customer service in the retail healthcare area. She enjoys working with people and supports both the optometrist and dispensing staff. A great administrator, she also helps out with our computer systems.

 

 

 

Susan

Susan
Optical Assistant
Susan brings a wealth of experience to the practice having worked in healthcare all her life. She is a qualified nurse and has undertaken many roles in her NHS career. She joined the practice in 2009 and enjoys working and caring for people. As an experienced contact lens wearer herself, she is involved with teaching new contact lens patients how to look after their lenses and also enjoys advising on frame styles.
 

Cheryl
Optical Assistant
Cheryl's calm and reassuring manner gives the practice a relaxed feeling. She has a background of customer service but has also worked with children, an area she still really enjoys. She is quietly efficient and always puts the interests and concerns of patients at the top of her agenda.
 

Jennie
Saturday OA
Jennie is a student currently studying for her AS levels, she has worked in the practice for over a year now helping the team on a Saturday.
